I saw the products where there was a shelf that is mounted on your wall, but you had to pin on the shelf of the wall bracket. I did not want to do this because my cleats were still lined up under the TV. The rack would have looked "off". I wanted a product easier to use existing mount my wall. My Floating shelf consists of four brackets and a sheet of glass, which runs on the console and allows you to save your electronics on the shelf.
I will say this, on the shelfholds only 30 pounds. and has a lot of shelf space. I actually decided to take my surround system down. I had a huge recipient of most of the space on the shelf. Also, I did not want to be on the shelf, because these receivers to break a lot of ways. It was another main concern, I do not have enough space on the shelf to keep all my speakers. In addition, I live in a rented house, so I can never surround my sound too loud. With that being said, I currently have my Xbox 360, KinectTelephone-based Roku box, cable box, little, Wireless-N Router and cable modem are all sitting on the shelf. You can only fit so many wires behind the cover they give you. I ended up splitting a cover and I had a different order.
One might ask how I hid all the cables, jacks are like most close to the ground? Simple! I put an ad on Craigslist and hired an electrician to come and move the socket behind the TV. Labor and parts cost me only $ 60! Then I put the TVare on the wall and all cables behind the TV sits literally. There is not enough space between your TV and the wall so as to throw all the cables behind. I know that the cables are seated again in a mess, but if a guest comes into my house, have no idea. For them, it seems fresh and clean!
I would recommend this product if not to ask too many electronics on the shelf. I'd love to hear from you and see what you think of my project. I never didsomething like this before!
Oh, ask yourself if what these two towers are located under the seat TV, this is my air cleaner and servers. My server keeps all my movies, pictures, music, etc. Then I can only stream movies from my server to my Xbox 360 Sever 6500 GB of space in it!
